Who writes Mathovia
Mathovia's lessons, worked examples and practice sets are written and checked by Zohaib, who holds an MPhil in Mathematics and has four years of experience teaching mathematics. Every page shows who wrote it and when it was last updated.
Accuracy checks
Mathematical formulas, calculations, worked examples and solutions are reviewed for accuracy before publication. In practice that means:
- Formulas are checked against their standard definitions before they appear on a page.
- Worked examples are recalculated independently, and the numbers in each diagram are generated from the same calculation, so the text and the picture cannot disagree.
- Practice problems are tested against the same answer checker that marks a learner's input, including common equivalent forms such as fractions and decimals.
- Calculators show the formula they use, so any result can be checked by hand, and new calculators are tested against known results before release.
How lessons are written
Each lesson states the rule plainly, shows where it comes from, works through examples from easy to hard, and lists the mistakes students most often make. Lessons link to the earlier topics they depend on and to matching practice problems, so a learner can check understanding straight away.
Calculators for science, money and health
Some calculators deal with physics, chemistry, personal finance or fitness. They are educational tools: each one states its formula and assumptions so the result can be checked by hand. They are not professional, financial or medical advice. For decisions that matter, confirm the result with a qualified professional or official guidance.
Corrections
If you find an error in a formula, example, answer or calculator, please tell us. Confirmed errors are corrected promptly, and the page's "Updated" date changes so readers can see it has been revised.
Reviews and updates
Pages are revisited when a reader reports a problem, when a related lesson changes, and when we expand a topic. Content is never paid for or sponsored, and Mathovia sets no tracking cookies.
